Chantal Racheau graduated from Evangel University in 1999
with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre, as well as the Outstanding Drama
Graduate award. Since then she has been teaching Theatre at Courtland
High School in Spotsylvania County. She feels that God has given her this
job and praises Him for the wonderful ways he has used her in this mission
field. Not only has she had excellent success with the students growing
her department from approximately fifty students to approximately 200
students involved in a given year, but she has also had many professional
successes as well. Her students have won coveted spots in the State Governor's
School of the Arts, as well as attend colleges and universities that rank
in the top ten in the nation for theatre. Her students have won acting
awards at state conferences and she has led her team to win the regional
championships as well as a place in state championships. Recently she
was awarded the distinguished Cambridge Who's Who among Executives and
Professionals in the area of Education. Through it all her main goal has
been not only to raise the standard of theatre in the school, but mostly
to minister to her students. The Lord has blessed her in many ways by
placing her in a position of influence during a time of many crossroads
in their lives and she gives God all of the glory for this success as
well. Ms. Racheau has missed being able to work in Christian drama since
she has worked with the public school and greatly looks forward to working
with Grace Center for the Arts as God expands her mission.
